Sola Scriptura. Truth or Fiction?

As Christians do we follow the cry of the reformers or do we follow the reformers & their followers? My goal is to discuss the Biblical basis (or lack of) for many commonly held beliefs of Christians. I would prefer if people defend their beliefs with more quotes from Scripture (explain your understanding from context) & less quotes from people. I will bring up one topic or question at a time to discuss. They may run from humor to heresy. Please keep comments on topic but I am open to requests.

Zane Hodges has gone to be with the Lord

A great scholar and someone who I had a lot of respect for their research has beaten me to be with Christ. The FG movement will miss him.
